OmniFocus 2 (legacy support edition) App Reviews

Keeps me focused!

More to learn but finding it helpful.

Severely Tremendously OVERPRICED

Just a fancy to do list with reminders - it has no other purpose. You have to pay on every device - the worst money trap on the App Store - should be banned....wish I could get my money back and continue using my free to do apps....

Keeps me focused

Great app for implementing GTD. Its been saving me time and keeping me focused on the important tasks at hand through perspectives.

Cant rate it low enough

I bought this app and now they want me to pay another $20 to use it on my apple watch? When every other developer is adding the same thing for free? Terrible business practices, will not buy from this dev again.

No review mode?!

I dont have an Apple watch or an iPad, so you want me to pay $20 just to get Review mode? Why is it not part of the last update?! Very unimpressed.

An essential app

OmniFocus is essential for managing a busy and hectic work world. It keeps me on track and helps me avoid tasks falling between the cracks. Ive tried just about every task management app for the iPhone. Some of them are very feature rich and at first seem to be an ideal solution but at the end of the day you tend to spend more time fiddling with the app then getting things done. Omni focus does have a learning curve but once youve shaped it into what you need its very powerful.

The best todo app

The best option for anyone whos serious about getting things done.

Worth every penny

Have been an OmniFocus user for years, their products are not cheap (monetary or otherwise) however the level of quality is unmatched. My purchase of OmniFocus has paid itself off in a short time. Very dependable software. As the title says, worth every penny.

Universal app good idea

Going from the separate iPhone and iPad apps to a universal app that also supports the Apple Watch is a good move. getting there if you’ve already bought the old apps is a bit clunky, as you have to buy the bundle and download the new app but you also get it for half price, so it’s kind of a good deal, since you get a new iPhone app, new iPad app and Apple Watch App for one price. I understand the kludgy workaround is because the way the App Store operates so I don’t blame The Omnigroup. With a new app a lot of new development went into it so I understand the charge, and the Apple Watch app alone is worth the price. I don’t mind paying for quality software and Omnifocus is the best out there.

Disgusting. You guys should be ashamed.

Every instance of it is extremely expensive and then you try and make us pay $35 Canadian for the watch version of the app means Im getting rid of you and going to a different product. OMNI clearly has some pretty unethical people running it since every MINOR upgrade and change is $20-$100. Honestly Im done with your apps and practices, I was once loyal and have bought $200+ in software privately (not business reimbursed) and Ill just go elsewhere. You guys are brutally unreasonable for your constant financial trickery. Id rather pay $20/yr for sync service than have you randomly update and charge me $20-$50 an upgrade, randomly, for a UI update. Seriously, clearly the management of this company is out of touch with reality. Get a load of the people after my comment making excuses for why theyre charging $35 (todays price, up from $28?!?). Seriously, I really question if those reviews are real people - this app doesnt "save anyone money" - its a GTD app... Thats it! There are hundreds around and at least five other excellent ones. I genuinely bet good reviews on the upsell are OMNI buying people off on Fiverr or something - I dont know anybody of sound mind and body that would spend $35 for an Apple Watch app, by itself. Thousands of other developers have added integration with the Apple Watch or other support without the cash grabbing of OMNI. OMNI is simply unable to add a feature to a product without trying to extract $30+ revenue at every turn. OMNI runs on an outdated business model of trying to sell a small amount of software at a high price with no updates, rather than have lots of people buy their product and actually, you know, "get things done".

Essential

I could not live without Omnifocus. iPhone iPad and Mac. Absolutely essential from simple to do lists to more complex work tasks and long term projects. Best GTD application out there. Proud customer since the first betas.

Simply amazing.

Omnifocus2, standing at a whopping 2000yen, is the most expensive app I have ever bought. But trust me, it is well worth the price. If you like to juggle around multiple projects like me, and want to keep track of everything you have going on in your life, Omnifocus will help you keep focused and on track. It has been critical in planning out my multiple projects, and I really enjoy using the gorgeous GUI of the app. Thank you Omnigroup!

Almost good. But when to use at iPhone 6+...

The view is scaled and not suitable for iPhone 6+.

Oops

OmniFocus is absolutely great product. But this version is totally buggy. Wait next one.

I strongly hope that omni focus iPhone-version will have the function of "weekly-review" which iPad-version has, when I use iPhone 6 plus. Itll make this app more sophisticated!

Expensive

I deleted it when I discovered that I have to pay even more to use it on my Apple watch. Its slick software but I now use the native Reminders app, which is surprisingly good. I now realise how much of a front end OmniFocus is for the native app, which works just fine for me.

Errors

I love omnifocus but recently I get errors saying I cannot sync with the online database, if you fix this I will consider Complete Bundle. But I also paid for this app for my iPad so I wonder if its worth it

Best GTD app for student.

OmniFocus is so far the best app for me. I am a student with a lot to organize and remember. OF helps with this very easily. This app interface is beautiful and easy to operate and to get used to it. I am more then satisfied and I personally dont think that 18€ is too much for this app.

Overpriced dinosaur with a modern look

It still has the same functionality as years ago. There are essential features missing which even free competitors have like tags, creating own views requires to pay even more? Come on! I really wanted to like this app based on the hype and seniority, but I just cant fall in love with it.
